L'homme q'attends
He stood by and watched the clouds
Even though he knew
The weight of the world rested on his shoulders
Ash feel on his back from the battlefield behind him
And as he watched the sunset up the sinking ships
His brown eyes only seemed to catch the sunset
Nothing about this horrible moment could bother him
And nothing but the end scared him
Waiting in fear as the sun went down
Signifying the conclusion of another day he wasn’t saved
He waited
Tears began to fill the poor mans eyes
As the canopy of the sky opened to blackness
The orange ring of helios bowed soon
Under the glass table sea
no sounds of birds to occupy his mad ears
And his thoughts nothing but death
And his heart, shattered, broken, and almost lost of hope
But het he waits
Still dreaming that
From the wreckage
A woman
A man
A human
A creature
Will save him from the war that is his own mind
He is waiting
And someday I shall find him
Hold him in my arms
And tell him
“You don’t have to wait anymore
You don’t have to wait anymore
Because you are safe
You are safe and everything is okay”
